Spawn Probabilities and Math

Merge Infinity uses a tile-spawn algorithm weighted toward low-value tiles. A 2-tile spawns roughly 60% of the time, a 4-tile 30%, a 8-tile 5%, and larger tiles only 1% each. Understanding these probabilities lets you predict whether the next tile will help or hurt — and adjust your strategy accordingly.

Each merge doubles the value of the new tile. So merging two 8s gives a 16. But merging a 16 and an 8 (different values) is impossible — the game requires same-value merges.

Build from the corners outward. Anchor your highest tile in a corner. Build chains radiating outward.
